报告摘要：

Numerous unusual properties have been observed in highly symmetric crystal phases of high-Tc superconducting cuprates and ironpnictides, such as anomalous resistivity anisotropy, magnetic susceptibility, stress responses, and universal stripe fluctuations, etc. It remains a huge challenge to understand these unusual properties. In this talk, I will briefly introduce the concept of electronic nemacity in correlated electron systems, and then present our theoretical results on the stability of electronic nematic phases in high-Tc cuprates and ironpnictdes. We will also propose a possible universal mechanism for the electronic nematic phase in these correlated electron systems.

报告人简介：

邹良剑，研究员，博士生导师，中科院“百人计划”获得者，中科院固体所研究室主任。1988年在四川大学物理系取得理学学士学位，1991年和1998年获得中科院固体所理学硕士学位和理学博士学位。其后访问香港中文大学，美国伊利洛伊大学物理系（UIUC）、洛斯阿拉莫斯国家实验室（LANL）和麻省理工学院物理系（MIT），在意大利国际理论物理中心（ICTP）从事博士后研究。目前已经在Phys. Rev. Lett., Phys. Rev.B, JPSJ等杂志发表论文80多篇，主要研究方向：1)强关联电子材料中轨道序和轨道相关物性；2)强关联电子体系的量子磁性和新型超导电性； 3)适合关联电子材料性质计算的新方法。
