学术预告:章乐博士谈“Atomic reconstruction, Topology and Correlation in Twisted Bilayer Graphene”

报告摘要:

Twistronic emerges as a new platform to study many-body physics in van der Waals (vdW) heterostructure. In bilayer graphene, twisting one layer with respect to the another at certain angles leads to a series of moiré flat bands. However, the interlayer interaction can cause significant structural reconstruction at the interface. Here, we directly visualize atomic reconstruction in open twisted bilayer graphene and its effect on the local electronic structure by conducting-Atomic Force Microscopy and local transport measurement. In sandwiched high quality twisted bilayer graphene, we also observed topological Hofstadter Butterfly in first and second magic-angle twisted bilayer graphene. The highly tunability of magic-angle twisted bilayer graphene also enable us to engineer a tunneling transistor to probe the nature of correlation physics.

报告人简介:

    章乐,1991年生于浙江温州,2012年毕业于太原理工大学获工学学士学位,2018.12毕业于浙江大学材料科学与工程学院获工学博士学位,2019.2至今为深圳大学博士后,2018.10-2018.12, 2019.3-2021.5荷兰格罗宁根大学访问学者,主要从事二维材料器件及量子输运研究。
